Meet Blue
Blue comes all the way from Azerbaijan (former Soviet Union), to find his happily ever after!
Blue is 2.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and weighs approx. 75 lbs.
Blue has an incredible sweet temperament. He is great with people. He loves to snuggle and stretch out across your feet or along the couch. His foster reports that he loves to meet new people. They have met more neighbors because everyone wants to meet this exotic looking dog who prances up to them, tail wagging, to introduce himself. He is well-behaved in the home, and has learned commands fast.
Blue had a tough time surviving on the streets as a puppy and still experiences some fear and anxiety when meeting strange dogs. He will be most comfortable in an area where he won't have to meet multiple strange dogs while on walks. He LOVES walks. He just needs walks in areas where passing other dogs is the exception, rather than the rule.
Blue also needs an experienced dog owner who can guide him, and be the alpha in the house so that he doesn't have to be the alpha. And he's smart. He is dying to find his permanent family.
He will do best in a home without cats. Blue is fine with other dogs in the home. His foster reports that dogs who are not overly dominantwill be a better fit for him.
He enjoys people watching, and relaxing. He makes a great lounge buddy and he loves to play with toys and play tug of war in or out of the house. Once he gets to know you, he’ll enjoy rolling onto his back to receive belly rubs.
We are looking for a family or person that will enjoy taking him on walks (not just the backyard) so he can explore the sights and smells of his new neighborhood, and shower him with love & attention to make up for all the lost time.
