Blu #2 Black Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

If you're searching for the true definition of a loyal companion, look no further than Blu #2! Blu is a 5 year old, black lab mix, weighing 66lbs. Blu is the perfect mix of the ultimate adventure buddy by day, and your lounge around best friend by night. Blu was found with his daughter, Basil #3 (also posted) and we would like to keep them together if possible however they can be separated. Blu is very smart and quick to catch onto commands. He is also patient, unless you are showing off a leash - he knows that means his favorite thing is coming up soon...a walk! Blu will need an adopter who can provide him with regular exercise and handle him pulling on walks until he gets his initial excitement out. His ideal adopter would be someone that can even turn him into a running partner. He's a social guy and might shout out a few hellos to people in the neighborhood on your route! Blu gets along well with other dogs and has experience with dog daycare and boarding. He is house and crate trained and knows basic commands, is neutered. Give him a comfortable bed, squeaky toy, and a blanket - which are a few of his favorite things - and he will be your friend for life!

ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
