Meet BITSY (cc#7016)
.....WONDERFUL NEWS! BITSY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!.....
We call her "Bitsy". (What else would you call a little dog!) In the category of Pocket Bully, she's on the smaller side which would make her the perfect size for just about any family. She's very friendly and loves people. She was found very early one the morning, on a very cold day, by a very nice family. They were hoping an owner could be found, but unfortunately this little lady seemed to be out for a stroll on her own. Since animal control wouldn't be available for a few more hours, another good Samaritan agreed to hold Bitsy and see to it she made it to the safety and warmth of the shelter later in the day. They checked for a microchip. She had none. There were no tags on her collar. Hummm, Where did she belong? She is much too nice to be a typical stray. This is one happy dog.
Note: We don't have all the answers yet, but we're learning more about this little lady every day.
Bitsy has been to the vet who feels she is somewhere between 2 and 5 years old. (We're sorry she couldn't narrow it down more.) Bitsy weighed in at 40.9 lbs. She is Heartworm & Lyme Disease Negative. Her Fecal & Giardia tests were negative. She was given her Distemper, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and she has been spayed.
