Meet Billie, our come back kid!

Sadly, Billie was found abandoned and horribly emaciated; weighing a shocking 29 lbs.. Our partner shelter in Kentucky rescued Billy, whisked her to the vet and painstakingly nursed her back to health. Now she is healthy, stocky, 3 year old, weighing in at a good weight of 57 lbs. She also has a gorgeous shiny black coat and cute little white paws.

Despite her rough life prior to being given a new lease on life, Billie is as sweet as she can be. She loves to be petted and soaks up all the love and attention coming her way.

She has doggie friends she likes to romp and run with. Billie is a smart girl and enjoys learning new things. She loves long walks and is a polite passenger in a car.

Billie has been through a lot and is now more than ready to be a part of a loving family.

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
