Meet Betty

Our sweet senior Betty wants to find her forever family! She would make a great calm companion for a family looking to add a low-key sweetheart into their pack! It would be best if Betty goes to a home with male dogs, as she has had some disagreements in her previous home with one of the females. She would do well in a home with another older dog! Betty would do best with older kids 14+ since she can be a bit reserved at first. She is easy going, housebroken, and likes to hang out with her favorite people. Betty knows her basic commands and is a treat motivated girl. She is on the smaller side, only weighing 38 pounds. Betty does NOT like going to the vet, it's the only time we have seen a sassy side of her, so someone prepared to bring a gentle approach when it's vet time will be helpful! She is easily muzzled but still unhappy when it's time for shots! Betty also doesn't like to be picked up and will let you know she is uncomfortable. It would be best her new family can respect her boundaries and not treat her like a small dog.
