Our Beautiful Belle.
Belle is a 6 year old fixed, vaccinated and healthy German Shepherd. She is HUGE people pleaser and a typical Shepherd in every aspect. She is loyal, loving and a very playful outdoor activity loving dog. She loves, and needs alot of physical activity and also really enjoys the water. Belle is looking for a home with no other animals or small children. Her home must be active and familiar with working breed dogs and their needs. She is used to daily walks and an active lifestyle and still has energy to burn!
Belle was raised in a single animal home until this year when a human baby was welcomed.. which has unfortunately caused stress and unrest in the home. The family is heartbroken but feels that Belle will be much happier without the antics of toddler aged children or infants. In her current home she has gone thru several basic obedience classes and is trained on an underground fence. She would do best with a normal fence and will not be able to be placed on a home with no fence due to her protective nature to neighboring animals.
She is dog social but can be kind of a bossy lady to dogs her size. She would not be a dog that would do well at a dog park or 'free-range' group of dogs. She attends doggie day care for socialization and has since she was young. As she has gotten older she has developed a dislike for dogs on the opposite sides of the fence and/or smaller than her. She would be happiest to live in a home with minimal dog interaction from surroundings and as the only animal. She would make the best companion to someone looking for a single dog to love! Belle aims to please and will be your very best friend.

She is currently fostered in a home in Bay City.

Anyone interested in meeting our adoptables must complete an online application, which is located on our website. This site is updated weekly so if an animal is listed they are available for adoption. Once the application is approved we will set up a meet and greet with the animal to ensure a good fit and then before adoption is complete we will schedule a home check to ensure a safe environment for the animal you are looking to adopt. If you live outside of the Tri-County area we will do our best to accommodate a home visit but it will rely on the availability and volunteers at that time. At this time we cannot do out of the state adoptions. We also do not do on-the-spot adoptions and we do not adopt out animals by a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to fit everyone of our animals to the best match possible! We pride ourselves in responsibly placing animals in homes that are best fit for their needs.
