Bella* Mixed Breed Allegan, MI

We’re so grateful this sweet, sensitive girl in a loving foster home. Little Bella was brought to the shelter severely underweight and struggled to gain any at the shelter. She is looking SO much better now!

Here’s what her foster has to say:
“She was clearly someone's pet. She is housebroken, crate trained, and not that nervous. She has settled in really quickly and gets along with my dogs.”

Bella was brought to the shelter 12/16/23 as a lost dog. When no one came to reclaim her, she was spayed, microchipped, and brought up to date on vaccinations. The medical team estimates, despite her puppy appearance, she’s about 3 and a half years old.

Bella could join a home that includes other dogs, kids, and/or *potentially* cats. Her doggie foster sisters are calm, older dogs but it seems she may enjoy a respectful playmate too!) if there is another dog in the family, we’ll schedule a meet and greet to ensure they get on well. We think respectful kids 8 and up would be her best fit. Bella only showed mild interest in cats and her attention could easily be redirected at the shelter, so she could potentially join a home with cats. However, during her time in foster she has shown a lot of interest in the neighbors’ chickens so we would like to retest her before sending her home to feline siblings!
