Hi there! My name is Bella and I'm an 8-year old, spayed German Shepherd that currently weighs about 65lbs. I'm a sweetheart that's looking for a forever home with people that understand the needs of senior shepherds like me! I'm a smart cookie that enjoys working on my training, especially if you have some nice treats to offer. I love to hang out and chew on my toys once I've gotten some energy out by playing fetch. I prefer to be the only dog in the household but if you have a dog, please make sure we have a chance to meet before adding me to the family. I prefer human attention over dog friends but I've been able to coexist with a few dogs. You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.

Please note at this time we are doing adoptions by appointments only. Please call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment.Our hours are 11am-6pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close. We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can't guarantee every animal you see is still available. It's also typical for us to have animals who haven't had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
