Look at that sweet little face! Barney came all the way from South Carolina to find himself a family! Born on January 14th, this little guy is almost 15 weeks old and weights in at 15 lbs.

Barney is a total sweetheart of a pup. He loves people and will follow you around the house to be near you. He is incredibly affectionate and loves to be pet - especially belly rubs! He’s a snuggler, and loves curling up with his people for naps. His sweet little snores will melt your heart.

Barney gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys playing with them and running around in the yard. We think he would be a great dog for kids - he does still have some puppy mouthing, but is easily redirected to a toy. He hasn’t met a cat yet, but we think he would probably be ok with them too.

Barney is crate trained and is crated while we are at work. At night he loves to snuggle in bed with his people. Barney is making amazing progress with his housebreaking, but being a baby still does have the occasional accident. Barney comes when you call him and is learning to sit. He’s very treat motivated, which will make it easy to teach him new things! He likes playing with toys and chewing on Nyla bones.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
