Meet Bandit

Bandit is playful 2-3 year old black lab who was found as a stray. He weighs 52 pounds. We believe he may have come from a farm since he wasn’t used to living in a house. Being petted and getting positive attention seemed to be new to him but he soaks up all the love and attention he can get and he enjoys every minute of it!

He is very comfortable in carpeted areas in the house but still learning how to be more at ease with hardwood and tiled floors. He shows improvement every week and will continue to get more confident every day.

He is a sweet, gentle boy who is the happiest when he’s with people so he would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day. He would also do well with another dog so he has a pal to play with and curl up next to when napping.

He is house trained but still has some accidents if he’s not taken out frequently for potty breaks. He loves to play in the backyard with a tennis ball or a stick or take a walk in the park.
He’s quick to initiate a rousing game of tug of war with his foster dog brother and he has a very gentle mouth when you take a toy away from him.

Bandit was diagnosed with Megaesophagus soon after entering foster care but it doesn’t seem to slow him down. He has a mild case which is successfully being managed through a special diet, upright feedings, and daily medication. You can learn more about his condition in his blog. Bandit is looking for a loving family who can give him the attention and care he needs to give him a chance of having a happy full life. He does need a little extra help with feeding than your average lab, but he will repay you with love, devotion and snuggles! Are you ready to open your home and heart to sweet, snuggly Bandit?!
