Meet BANDIT

This is BANDIT! We think he’s about 3 years old and around 15 lbs, not more than 20.

We think he’s a mix between a Corgi and a Chihuahua!

Bandit is currently in the NY area.

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PROFILE BEFORE APPLYING!

He likes head scratches and while you are sitting on the couch will put his two paws on you to signal that he’d like one!

He also enjoys relaxing in his bed. He can be very cuddly. He likes having his own personal space too and will sit on the bed alone watching you do your thing!

While he is an amazing dog, he does have some behavioral issues that need to be worked through with an experienced adopter. He can become territorial with other dogs (barking at them in the home), and can snap (seemingly) unexpectedly. He does not like it when a harness is put on and off for example and will snap.

Therefore, at this point, we are requiring that anyone who adopt him have a LOT of experience and is willing to work with him in the long term on these issues. He deserves a chance and there are already so many great things about him that we know that with work, in time he will improve.

He is also not neutered because the vet determined that his testicles never dropped. He is therefore medically exempt from being neutered.

If you are interested in him, please complete our application:

Applications must be complete to be considered.

Your application will not get lost! We are a small but efficient rescue!
____________________________________________

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog.

In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.
