Meet Bandie - 780
Bandie is a small senior dog who weighs about 5 lbs and is at least 10 years old. She may be as old as 14 but we don't know for sure because her teeth were in such awful shape when she was rescued. We don't know what breed she is. Her hair feels like a Maltese but she does shed when she gets nervous. Bandie is very sweet and bonds quickly to her person. She is great in a crate and lets her foster mom know when she needs to go outside and stands at the door and barks to come back in. She gets along well with other dogs but probaby doesn't need another dog to be happy. She likes to hand play with her foster mom for short periods of time. Bandie was in really bad shape when she was rescued from a local shelter. She had horrible teeth, a large mammary tumor, and needed to be spayed. Luckily, her tumor was benign and she does have a few teeth left. Bandie's health had been neglected prior to her rescue so we are trying to get her kidneys in better health. Bandie would do well with a retired person or couple who are looking for a small, loving, quiet companion.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
