Baker Hound Mix Port Angeles, WA

Meet Baker! He's one of 8 puppies who were rescued, with their Mama, from a dump site in Eastern Washington.

We aren't sure the breed mix. We're thinking maybe a touch of everything. Mama is about 60lbs at her healthy weight (she was emaciated when she came to us and is gaining slowly - we expect her to top out around 60 when she filles out) and we aren't sure what dad is - maybe a shepherd or husky mix based on the area stray dog population.

Baker was born just before Christmas 2023.

We expect him to grow up to be moderately active, very friendly, and a great combination of professional snuggler, and hiking buddy.

He's a puppy, so he will need someone to give him socialization and help him continue to learn about this human world he's landed in. But so far, he's outgoing, playful and has a zest for adventure.

Baker will be ready to head to his forever home once he is old enough (early to mid Feb). He will be placed on a foster to adopt basis and new owners will need to bring him back to be neutered at our clinic once he is old enough. Once he is neutered, his adoption will be finalized.
