Introducing Bailey, a dashing Blue Merle Australian Cattle Dog and Terrier mix with a heart just as big as his smile. Weighing in at 56lbs and celebrating his second year of life since March 2021, Bailey’s story at our shelter began when he arrived with his brother Tazz, seeking a new family to call their own.

Bailey is a true companion, always ready to offer comfort with his affectionate embraces and gentle presence. He’s the friend you’ve been looking for, happy to share a quiet moment or accompany you on life’s adventures. His demeanor is mostly serene, preferring to spend his days relaxing on cozy surfaces, yet he’s always eager for a stroll or playful romp outside.

Our staff and volunteers rave about Bailey’s excellent leash manners, and during his walks with Tazz, it’s clear Bailey enjoys taking the lead, showing his brother the wonders of the world from a dog’s perspective. While he’s friendly with all, Bailey has shown a fondness for the ladies of his kind over the gents.

A home without cats would suit Bailey best, as he prefers the company of humans and canines alike. He’s made great strides in house training, keeping his kennel spotless while here, even through the night. We have been told that Bailey does experience some separation anxiety inside the home, so a crate becomes his safe haven, a place where he feels secure when alone. We would love to see him go home with someone that can dedicate some time to transitioning him to their home. Someone who may be home more often that away.

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
