Ava Grace is estimated to be 1.5 years old and is 50 lbs.

Adorable, charismatic Ava Grace loves squeaky footballs and toys she can run around the fenced-in backyard with! She lives in a foster home that includes her foster mom and dad, and 4 dogs (males and females). Another dog in her home is also a new foster, from the same shelter. This vivacious girl gets along great with all in her foster home.

Ava Grace is delightful, and she constantly wags her white-tipped long tail when she sees her foster family. Ava Grace will look at her foster family with “puppy-dog eyes” when she is making eye contact. She is easy to love. She is also playful and friendly, but can sometimes need positive reminders from a confident adult that not all of her foster siblings can match her energy. One of her foster siblings is an older senior dog, and doesn’t share her energetic running and playing. She does listen to commands before she eats, and strives to please her foster family. She would love a fenced in yard to run around in free play.

Ava Grace is house-trained. She understands that she should go outside to do her business. Her adoptive family should be prepared to take her out on a reasonable schedule. Ava Grace is crate-trained and stays in her crate when her foster family is out of the house.

Ava Grace has been in her foster home for two weeks, and she has enjoyed several outings to dog-friendly stores. She walks well on a leash and has been working on the “heel” command out in public. She loves running around the fenced-in backyard with supervision by her foster parents. She likes riding in the car, and will usually sit on the backseat, looking out the window.

Ava Grace knows the commands “Sit,” “Down,” and “Stay” so far! She is also working on “Gentle” when playing or “Wait” when receiving treats. Ava Grace loves frozen peanut butter Kongs, and will clean the toy completely for you! She is not food aggressive and does not resource guard - she will allow you to take toys and food away from her.

Ava Grace is a one faithful dog! If you are looking for a devoted and charming dog for your family, this is your dog! She will prove to be a friendly and loyal companion to a very lucky family.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
