Auggie was found in a southern shelter and you could tell he was a matted mess. We could not see what color or breed he was as he was that matted. With our experience, we knew he never had a haircut in his entire life. He turns out to be a chocolate color Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu poodle mix. He likes dogs, people and he will be okay with a cat that wants to play with him. If your cat runs this will not work.
He weighs 9 lbs and is approximately 1-2 years old. He is sweet, loving, and the little guy is housebroken. During the transition, he will have accidents and then when he understands your routine and gets over from being moved, he will be considered a housebroken dog. He has had very few accidents. He loves other dogs and the best home would be with another young dog. A dog between the ages of 1-6 will be a great playmate.
Dufy's Friends will require a fenced yard with traditional fencing. The new owner must own their home. We can not consider Condos, Townhomes, or rental apartments. If the family has children we do request the children to be over 12 years. We do not accept daycare in the home, or first-time pet owners. We are looking for prior pet owners with a good vet history.
Adoption donation request: $550.00 and the dog has medical records that include:
Professional grooming
Vet boarding while waiting for medical help - this is 12 days of boarding as no foster home was available.
Neutered with the following:
Heartworm test negative and three tick diseases negative
Kennel cough vaccination
distemper/parvo vaccination
Rabies
Fecal test
Fecal worming per test.
Advantage and heartworm protection for the month.
2nd distemper parvo vaccination
Microchip
