Asta von Asendorf is a gorgeous 5 year old German Shepherd. Asta is a wonderful girl ready for a forever home with someone who appreciates a true shepherd with smarts as well as beauty. Asta is not confused about her identity or about her likes and dislikes: she is intelligent, curious and alert to her environment (you can tell because her ears are always moving!). A sweet girl once comfortable, Asta loves to please and listens well to directions, always looking up to you to tell her what the agenda item is. We believe this smart cookie is likely housebroken; she also knows the “Sit”, “Down” and “Paw” commands, and shows you her affection by leaning into you when you pet her. Asta is more into people than other dogs. She's delighted to join you for an outing and walks well on leash with a nice medium energy. With proper handling, she meets dogs well along the way and does okay in pack walks. Off-leash she enters the play yard with a self-assured, comfortable attitude and does well with the dogs present, as long as they are not pushy or dominant. Also, kitties are a “no” for Asta.
