Meet Ashika!

This beautiful two year old blue-eyed baby ended up at the county shelter as a stray like so many others during the “pandemic glut”. It’s a crushing blow for those of us and Rescue and Shelter work, because there is a staggering number of healthy young dogs coming into the shelters, given up by people who didn’t plan adequately when they raced out to get a dog while they were stranded at home during the pandemic. It’s the responsibility of our community to step up and save these dogs who are in the shelters through no fault of their own. :-(

Ashika is a great medium size and very calm for the breed. She is affectionate and gets along great with other dogs. She walks great on a leash. It’s tragic that she is sitting at a shelter because she is a great dog, and will be a great companion for the right home.
