Ashby was born 12/29/2022. His mother is a Chihuahua Dachshund mix (approx. 14 lbs.), father may be a beagle. He will likely be a small/medium dog.

Ashby is still a young pup and wants a home that understands the world of puppies. He will only be placed in a loving home that is dedicated to work on house training, leash manners, and will introduce him to a variety of safe activities and experiences so he can be comfortable in the world.

Ashby is working hard on house training, crate training & the command Sit - we would suggest a home without shared walls as he can be a bit vocal in his crate and he will need a family who is committed to continue house training him. He is treat motivated which helps greatly in his training.

Ashby loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home as well as the dog savvy cat. Slow introductions would greatly benefit new pet interactions. Ashby would likely do well in a home with older children with awareness and proper dog manners due to his current age, size and need to explore the world with his mouth. He is going to make a great addition to someone's family!

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
