Apollo Mixed Breed West Olive, MI

Apollo is a sweet heart of a dog. He is both active and lazy. While he seems to really enjoy playing and running around, he gets tired easily and will give up on chasing. He isn't too interested in toys, but he seems to enjoy chasing after people. He pulls pretty hard on leash and he doesn't appear to know any commands. Despite his age, he is still very active and outgoing. Though he does like to play, he seems to just enjoy being pet and loved on. He is okay with all handling, however, he did not like his ears being touched. This could be due to a possible ear infection (Dr. Fitz will be checking it out today). He has no issues with guarding food items. He used to be around children of all ages and did well with them all. His primary owner was an older woman who was no longer able to care for him. She said that he loves to play with all toys, though he hasn't shown an interest in them at the shelter. He hasn't been around other dogs before. During his cat test, he was very focused on the cats, but he turned away on his own. However, I don't think he could ever catch a cat if he did try to chase them. It is up to adopters if they want to take that chance.
