Angelo is a handsome Labrador mix boy that weighs 53 pounds. He was rescued from a shelter in North Georgia due to overcrowding.

2/9/24 - Here is what one of our dog walking volunteers has to say about Angelo: "Honestly, with a small twinge of guilt, I’d bypass him and choose another dog to take for an outing because he’s A. Not an obvious pitbull B. He’s so dang cute! And C. He’s so well behaved! I figured he’d be adopted out the gate! But, the shelter system is a numbers/waiting game…..there are more dogs than there are people to adopt said dogs. So, off we went for a short outing and this dog held my hand 3 mins away from the parking lot ? He’s calm, smiles a lot, walks very well on a leash…..I can’t say anything negative about him. If you’re looking for a mild mannered, well mannered dog that doesn’t act a fool, does what you ask of him and would probably pull Timmy from a well, he’s your pup!"

12/2023 - Angelo took a fun trip to Rock City with one of our volunteer dog walkers and here is what she had to say about their trip, "Y'all, he was SO GOOD!! He's a calm, confident dog with excellent leash manners and did great with everyone we met. Plus, those eyes ? Yet another amazing dog almost euthanized because of shelter overcrowding. Go meet him! He's a catch and will be a very easy dog." We are so grateful for all of our dog walkers who give our dogs a break from shelter life and help them enjoy their time while they wait to be adopted.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
