Read on about this very loving boy:
My name is a Amarante. I am about ten months old, 45 pounds. Two months ago I was dumped at the local gas station, where I hung  around begging for food from anyone that stopped by. For a month I vacillated between the gas station and the grocery store, sometimes I was lucky, but most days I couldn’t find enough and went to bed hungry. However, one month ago while making my rounds a man who had been giving me kibble every couple of days scooped me up in his arms and put me in his truck. The next thing I knew I was in a backyard with a young puppy named Jessica and a crazy border collie. That night I slept indoors in my very own box, with pillows an blankets and all the food and water I could ever imagine. Jessica taught me how to play. Wow! That was fun. And before I knew it we took a road trip, where I got to sit in the back seat with my new friends and watch the world go by. It was like a fairy tale. Our first stop was in Albuquerque where Jessica got adopted. It was sad to see her go but, my humans assured me it was a great home and that she would have a grand life. Then we went camping. Oh, camping! Good stuff! We went for walks by a lake and played. When we got back I was neutered and had to spend a week recuperating and taking it easy. I am all better now and am ready for adoption myself.
I am house-trained, leash-trained and car-trained. Typically, I am very content indoors just hanging around my people or playing with the crazy border collie. I am pretty darn chilled-out, but there is one thing I must confess to, I am Velcro-doggy. Snuggles are my thing. I could do it all day long (I am very fond of couches). It must be noted that I have a bit of separation anxiety, but am trying to work through it as best I can. It is time for me to find a forever home where I can let my love blossom and become the super-doggy friend I am destined to be. Â
