Alvin was adopted as a pup, and his owner had a major life change that meant him being surrendered back to us. He lived with another dog and a toddler. He has not lived with cats.

He is settled into his foster home, and here's what his foster mom has to say:

He does very well with the 5 year old daughter in the home. The toddler will run and try to hug him and pet him, and he growls a little bit and runs away to let her know when he's had enough. He does this a majority of the time she tries to interact. While he can safely be around young children, he would likely prefer to be with older children with better boundaries.

He LOVES chasing balls, especially the squeaky ones we have! He brings the ball back too! He'll take off with furry/fluffy toys too and take them back to his bed, but he won't tear them to shreds like some other dogs.

At first he didn't like the crate, but now he goes in for a treat and lays down quietly. His foster has left him out several times for an hour or two while we were out and he kept to himself and didn't destroy anything or have any accidents.

He goes to greet the neighbor dog everyday. They bark back and forth and then he'll come back inside. He would like to have a canine playmate in the home.

Not much of a "kisser". He gives like 1 or 2 little licks and then he's done.

He saw a cat at the pet store, while on leash, and was whining at it. Unsure if he will like cats or not.

It's been wayyy too cold for walks, but they think think he enjoys them. He'll grab his leash and bring it to them and whine at the door!
