Meet Allie

Horse people, hikers, outside enthusiasts! Allie is here and ready to be your committed sidekick on all adventures or barn chores or forest walks or camping trips. And when the adventuring is over, Allie Allie is ready to take on the job of BEST snuggler! She's kind of like a cat - long and lean and heat seeking and you're patting her before you even realize it. She may start off beside you but then she has her head on your lap and then her shoulders and if she could sigh, she would - a giant sigh of appreciation and complete satisfaction.

Allie is a one year old, 50 pound gorgeous girl with a shiny black coat, slim legs, and big light brown eyes. She was a young mother who gave everything she had to her two puppies and that giving spirit IS the essence of Allie - she gives to everyone she is connected to. Her day starts with an offleash romp with her foster friends where she looooves to play chase with the others, a streak of black, brown and yellow labs zooming, jumping and chasing one another. She sticks close to her people and when the others venture off to follow sniffs, she prefers to stay close by.

Allie helps with the horses every day and she is excellent at it, like she understands that they are big prey animals who deserve respect and some distance. Don't get her wrong, she does love to stick her face in their food but always backs away when they ask her to. She understands their energy and would be fabulous company on a trail ride or doing chores. Even the home dogs don't interact as respectfully with the horses as Allie does and so she is the number one horse helper. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors and her great recall also make her an awesome hiking partner and there is no doubt she may even be a good canoe buddy.

Allie has been an absolute delight in her foster home. She brings a sense of happiness and glee to everything she does. She can go-go with the best of them but has a good off switch that means she can be found on the couch, touching her people when the day is done. Allie has been crate trained but is no longer choosing to use it and is happy to stay free in the house with the dogs and cats.

This girl is an absolute gem. She is intuitive and wants to please. She jumps into the van with a swing of her foster's hand, wiggles her butt and leans in for pats, and brings a joyous energy to everything she is involved in. She has shown that she can be wary of new people when they surprise her but she sure gets over that quickly because love wins.

Allie is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $750. Allis is currently fostering in Caledon.
