Allie was found as a stray and taken to the county shelter, who in turn hand delivered her to Home Fur Good. Allie is an eight-year-old, six-pound Chihuahua mix. Lately, HFG has received a few adorable little muffins who are unsure about their new living arrangements. A trick that might work, to help a shy dog gain confidence, is to cover them in a blanket before picking them up. The blanket protects both the dog and the human. Allie was eating treats out of our hands in her kennel, but she was not too sure about us just reaching in for her. Once she had a blanket around her, she just settled. Now she expects to be carried around like Cleopatra. Originally Allie appeared to be much younger, but upon inspection it was learned she was in dire need of some dental work. She had her teeth cleaned and a few removed, and now she will have fresher breath to give you kisses. Allie is a darling little girl, gaining more confidence and more admirers each day. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.
