HISTORY:
A citizen was looking to add a cat to their family. When they arrived at the location they found out that the remaining kittens were going to be dumped at a farm so they took all 3 home. They then surrendered 2 to us so they can find their forever home.
ABOUT:
Weasley is a playful, happy, curious kitten. He loves to play and particularly enjoys interactive toys, wand toys, and rough housing with his sister. Weasley is not above trying to trick you into feeding him an extra meal as his chubby belly can show. He loves to be pet and to sit on laps and will thank you with the loudest lawn mower purrs you have ever heard. As much as he loves to sit on laps and receive endless attention, Weasley is not fond of being carried and held. He will tolerate it, but he does not enjoy it. When he first arrived in his foster home he was on the reserved side. Now that he has had time to acclimate to his foster home he has become much more confident and outgoing. We expect he may revert back a bit when he first arrives in his foster home until he becomes comfortable and confident again. Weasley is not being fostered with children, while he is very friendly we think he will be more comfortable with children 6+ who can understand that he doesn’t like to be grabbed at or held.
Weasley loves playing with the young resident cat and doesn’t pay much attention to the resident dog who is very calm and comfortable around cats. We think Weasley would do just fine in a home with a dog that is already used to living with a cat.
We require that kittens be adopted into homes in pairs (when available) or into a home with another playful, interactive cat so that they have someone to play with to help keep them stimulated and out of mischief. Adoption priority will be given to homes that want to adopt Weasley and his sister Ginny as a pair.
