Paws for Love would like to bring your attention to the Mighty Whale (however due to her weight loss is now Wanda the Whale!) She is beauty, she is grace but weight loss is the name of the game for this girl! She came to us at 25lbs and is down to a cool 16. She went from walking a few steps and flopping over to barreling through the house with her foster brothers and sisters. More often than not you will still find her on her back and her heavy breathing/purring can put an idling tractor to shame, but she is making such good progress and is ready for prime time! She still very much loves flopping over, I don't think that will change. When you're gone, she will wait for you...and flop when she sees you so you know she missed you.

Taking Miss Wanda in would require an adopter who is dedicated to keeping her weight loss on track. Allowing any animal to stay obese will only shorten their lives and this Whale has a good 10+ years ahead of her. She would also need someone who can take a good hit to the legs! We call it "whaling" where she will throw her weight into your leg to remind you how much she loves you ♥

Wanda is feisty and makes a perfect pillow. She is now an expert at grooming herself but has a funny habit of holding her back legs with her front paws to reach, truly a contortionist! Also, your eyes don't deceive you. This Tale of a Whale has no tail of her own! She is a bob!

Please consider opening your heart to this pretty girl. All she needs is some catnip, a couch, a human to adore/stalk and a healthy diet with exercise. She is as low maintenance as you can get, she's just big.
