Meet Vincent & Viola

Vincent's Birthday: June 29, 2023
Viola's Birthday: June 29, 2023

These cute siblings dote on each other to the point where it's incredibly hard to resist the urge to squeal, "Awwww!" Vincent and Viola are a bonded pair that hope to find a home together! They share so many personality traits that it's probably a good thing that they are different colored! Otherwise, you'd have a heck of a time trying to tell them apart!

The only bad thing that these two share is their positive testing for FeLV+ (or Feline Leukemia Virus). Time for some education! The virus is NOT anything like human leukemia. The only thing that's similar about the two is that they both weaken the immune system of the host. Leukemia in humans is a type of cancer, while in cats, it's a virus. Cats can transfer the virus to other kitties, but not to humans. The worst case scenario is that the cat is at risk for FeLV-associated diseases and transmitting the infection.

However, don't let that deter you from adopting a kitty with the virus! It's not a death sentence for the kitty! In fact, an infected kitty can live a long and healthy life just as any feline could! They also have a chance to fight off the virus on their own, but if they are unable to, FeLV+ isn't transmitted all that easily. It's passed through saliva, such as a bite wound. Having a FeLV+ kitty can be a rewarding experience, and we have two that you wouldn't have to worry about infecting each other!

Enough of the virus! What can we tell you about these two rascals? Well, Vincent is a gray kitty with a purr machine that likes to go off every time you lay a loving hand on him! The petting activates his motors, and it sounds like a little car has been turned on in your living room! Viola is the tuxedo (black and white) kitty who is a play-holic! She's more of the nut between the two! She loves to be petted and held like a baby! However, if you bring in your play-seeking attitude to the mix, Viola will take you on any day of the week!

Vincent and Viola's adoption donation is $245 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
