His name is Velvet and that certainly goes along with his smooth-as-silk, loving, and delightful personality. This middle-aged boy was found wandering as a stray and brought to the rescuer's home among other rescued cats.
He is very accustomed to living among other animals, and his demeanor seems to be very laid-back and chill. Velvet is great with people, loving to receive attention, and he enjoys spending time in the comforts of a kitty hammock.

Velvet resides in one of our FIV rooms at STAF. FIV cats make wonderful pets. They simply have a less robust immune system than cats that test negative. The condition is non-transmissible to people or dogs. Velvet enjoys the company of other cats but he would also thrive as your one and only guy. If you have a place for this lovely man and you want to wrap yourself in luxurious love, Velvet will certainly indulge you!

All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision.
