Meet Valkyrie
Name: Valkyrie
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: October 20, 2022
Meet Valkyrie, a beautiful 1.5-year-old tortoiseshell cat.
Valk came to Arthur Animal Rescue from Lionshead where she was part of a colony of cats. Valk was pregnant upon her arrival, but unfortunately, after some complications and an emergency c-section, the kittens didn’t make it. She has been through a lot and has made amazing strides with humans, especially her foster mom. She loves to be pet and tolerates being picked up, and her foster mom believes with time, she would be a huge snuggle bug.
Valk is currently getting socialized at the Alley Cat Cafe in Stratford, but prior to that she was in a home with a young 4-year-old and 2 older adult cats. The two older resident cats do not like her, though, and despite Valk’s efforts to sniff and make friends, the resident cats are not receptive of her advances. Her foster mom is hopeful that this move to Alley Cat will help Valk come out of her shell!
Because of Valkyrie's desire to interact with her foster sisters, and how quickly she came out to explore when she arrived at Alley Cat, we believe she needs a home with another cat or two, we also believe she would do well in a home with children who know how to handle cats, given the proper introductions are given!
