HISTORY:
Trinity came to us heavily pregnant, from an animal control facility. She gave birth shortly after in March 2020.

ABOUT:
Maybe we should call her Transformation Trinity...

Trinity gave birth very shortly after being brought into our rescue. She was a very good, but very protective mother. We initially thought she might even be feral. After her kittens were old enough to go to a foster home of their own, Trinity began to calm down and was transferred to a foster home of her own. She was initially very shy and spent most of her time hiding in a closet, but over a short period of time in her foster home Trinity has begun blossoming into a great house pet. Her foster family had to leave for 6 days so she had that time in the house alone aside from the petsitter’s daily visits. It was after this period alone that she really began to get more confident and outgoing. It’s possible the time in the house alone gave her the time to explore and become more comfortable with the settings of indoor life. She loves attention from people she trusts, and always seems to be begging for more.

Trinity is very food motivated and is very adventurous with what she will try. She even stole some white rice out of her foster’s bowl one day...what cat steals white rice? She is particularly fond of small bits of cheese and deli meat. Trinity is always sure to warn you that it is “almost” dinner time….2-3 hours before dinner time.

As she is still trying to figure out this “indoor pet” gig she has found herself in, Trinity has some silly behaviors. Her foster said she gets the zoomies early in the morning and late at night, but her time during the day is spent figuring things out so will sit at the foot of the couch staring at you for an hour deciding whether or not she wants to hop on your lap, or keep making you have to lean off the couch to pet her.

Trinity will probably do best in a home that is more calm and predictable. She might be appropriate for homes with older children as long as they understand she will be shy and will need plenty of time to come around. She will possibly always hide when strangers visit or there is a lot of commotion.

Trinity is part of our Chitown Shy-Cat program. This program is designed to help cats who might need more time to transition to a new environment. Each cat goes to their adopter for a 30 day Trial Adoption period so they have time to warm up and allow their personality to start to show before the adoption is finalized. Lulu’s Locker can provide all the supplies needed during that period.
