Toby and Zoe Domestic Short Hair Mix Wilmington, NC

Toby & Zoey are a bonded pair of senior kitties. The only owners they have known moved out of state and did not take them. They are spayed & neutered and up-to-date on their shots.

Toby is a 12 year old chonky boy, weighing in at 16 pounds! He has some old man complaints, like arthritis, but the vet has said he is in good health. (He wants you to know he tested negative for diabetes and kidney disease!) He enjoys a warm, soft bed to sleep on, a window seat for bird watching, and frequent brushing to help him maintain his pretty coat. He does not enjoy jumping up & down much. He needs a human who will spoil him with love and attention, not extra food. He will reward you with purrs and the occasional tiny, squeaky meow!

Zoey is a spunky little 14 year old calico, half of her (adopted) brother's size! She would like you to know that she enjoys a window seat of her own and as much brushing and scratches as you will give her, and she is not afraid to tell you all about it! She is a delightfully vocal kitty, but don't go thinking you can pick this little cutie up whenever you want. She will come to you when she is ready.

Although initially rather shy, they have both done well in their foster situation and are hoping to find a home of their own for the rest of their years. They would prefer to be your only cats, and do not like energetic dogs or young children. (If Toby could shake his fist and shout at the young kids on the lawn, he would!)



Our adoption process:
* You must be located in the Wilmington area *
1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.

We are a completely foster based nonprofit rescue run by volunteers. We do this work out of love.
