Meet Sylvia
Hi, I’m Sylvia. I am a young female dilute torti, born in 2022. My coloring is fabulous! I am very, very affectionate to people. Just so you know, I talk quite a bit. I have a vast repertoire of meows, chirps, and various vocalizations. If you need someone to talk to, I’m your girl.
Sylvia wants nothing to do with any other cats. She tolerates the dog if the dog doesn't bother her, but she will hiss at any cat that gets with a few inches of her. She will follow people anywhere and everywhere, sometimes chatting with you the whole time. She is quite the explorer, her name should have been Dora.. Just give her a person to pet her and love her and she is good to go. You may have noticed in her pics that her left ear is smaller. She has some damaged cartilage at the base of it, ya know, cauliflower ear like the boxer’s get. She doesn't box, she is super gentle. She was returned to the shelter by her former family because the kids were “tormenting” her. That may be why her ear is damaged. It does not bother her at all and It makes her extra unique and adorable. Come visit her and see how utterly adorable she is..
To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
