Meet Sylvester
Sylvester is ready for his new home!
Sylvester is a gorgeous Tuxedo-Tabby boy who arrived about a month ago from Manitoba and is ready to find his new family! This stunning boy is around 7.5 months of age and has the classic tuxedo markings but his coat has a beautiful auburn/brown colour to it with tabby markings.
Sylvester had a dubious beginning to his life but was thankfully surrendered to the care of One At A Time rescue in Brandon, Manitoba. We want to thank the great folks at Orphans of the North and Alice Storey for sponsoring his flight to Ontario and to Mary for being his flight companion..
Sylvester is as close to perfect as you can get in a cat! He is absolutely lovely and social with humans of all ages, dogs and other cats. He spends his day between napping, lounging in a window watching the outside and curled up on someone’s lap purring. He loves being close and getting affection. Sylvester weighs in around 9-10lb right now and likely doesn’t have too much more growing to do.
He is currently being fostered with 1 large dog, 2 cats and a child. He is perfect with everyone although he needs 48 hours to settle in as he is nervous at first. He does require a separate area until he is comfortable and the other animals need to be respectful of his space until he is settled. After that initial period he is perfect with everyone. It doesn’t take long but this is an important step in integrating successfully.
Sylvester loves to play and cuddle. His favourite game is “knock the plant over when no one is looking” lol. He uses his box without fail. At night, he likes to curl up beside his foster mom and to be touching her. He has fit into his foster home seamlessly.
We are now looking for his forever home. Really Sylvester would fit in almost anywhere. He would be great with a family or a single person. If there are children or dogs in the house, they must be respectful of him. We want him to feel comfortable and confident in his home, He would do great in an apartment or house. He must not be an outdoor cat as we want him to have a long and healthy, happy life living inside being spoiled and loved.
Sylvester is a young boy and a commitment of (hopefully) 15-20 years so any adopter should consider this and be sure they are able to commit to his care for the long haul.
Sylvester is up to date on all vaccines, has been dewormed, microchipped and spayed.
