Meet Sura and Laya (bonded pair)

Sura and Laya are about 1.5 years old. Laya is super petite and playful, while Sura is an explorer who loves affection. Together, they are looking for their forever home!

Sura has only one eye, but the area where her eye was removed has healed very nicely and doesn’t bother her one bit. She does have feline herpes in her remaining eye, although she does not have herpes symptoms when she’s not under stress. However, Sura he would benefit from L-lysine in times of stress and transition and might need antivirals if her symptoms last more than a couple days. I do have antivirals for her to give to her new family. Sura’s herpes shouldn’t require special medical care; she would just need medication if she’s having any trouble with her eye.

Sura is secure and outgoing. She loves pets although she prefers not to be held. Laya is very timid and reserved at first, but when given plenty of time to decompress and learn to trust, she will warm up.

Sura likes to roam around the house exploring. She enjoys fluffy beds in the sun. Laya likes to wrestle and relax in round, comfy beds in the sunshine. Their favorite toys are little balls with bells inside.

These sweeties are both very active. When they’re not sunbathing, you can find them exploring, playing soccer with their ball toys, or bird watching.

They share a home with two adults and a teenager, as well as one other cat and a small dog. The home is two stories with lots of windows and they utilize all the space for zoomies and soccer. They have not been around children, but I don’t think Laya would be comfortable around them. They are comfortable around small dogs, but are very uncomfortable around large dogs and should not be in a home with them.

Because of Laya’s quieter personality, this cute pair would do best in a calm, peaceful home, with humans who are around a lot and ready to give this duo the gentle, quiet affection they appreciate so much. Could that be with you?

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.

Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
