Meet SUBBY
AGE: 3 - 4 years

LOCATION: PETS Shelter (114 W Main Street) - Panora, IA
MY STORY:
This guy showed up out of the blue at a barn that houses a feral cat colony. It was bitterly cold and a snow storm was on the way and he was starved. The colony caretakers could tell he was very friendly and immediately got him out of the cold while they looked for his owners. None of the neighbors knew who he was, he had no microchip, and he wasn't forthcoming with any information as to who he was or where he came from. He was vetted and now hangs out in his hammock at the shelter while waiting to be adopted.
He was given the name Subby as a nod to being found during sub zero temps. He's very easy going and still learning his way around the shelter as he settles in. He has done well with the other kitties after a proper and patient introduction but can be a bit of a jerk to them as well (such a cat!). He LOVES attention from the volunteers and generally just watching all that goes on around him. He is a gentle and low maintenance guy that blends the purrfect amount of snuggly and playful. Subby wears his deep shiny black coat accented with what looks like a white tie with pride.

Inside-only home and must keep claws. The adoption fee for this kitty is $100. Adopt a pair of kitties for $150. Each cat and kitten has been: altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies and distemper combo, microchipped, tested for FeLV (negative unless previously noted), and treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms.
