Meet Spooks & Chance

Spooks is a spayed female, shorthaired, black cat who is declawed in her front paws. She was born on 1-29-2020. Chance is a neutered male, shorthaired, gray and white cat who has his claws and was born on 10-19-2021. They are a bonded pair and we're unwilling to separate them.

These two cats are so sweet! ♥ They both love cuddling with us and with each other ♥ Spooks likes to play with strings and with this butterfly toy that we have in her room :)

Spooks and Chance do well with small dogs. They're still trying to get used to the new room that they're in. We know that Chance is okay with other cats. Spooks seems a little iffy about the new cats who she gets to share a room with. :/ Spooks and Chance are compatible with all adults and children.

They're currently eating Royal Canin Calm dry cat food to help with the stress of living in a cage and a room here at our shelter. Their new owner may switch these two over to whatever food they like. We'll send home a sample of Royal Canin Calm to help ya switch them over to their new food :)

Spooks and Chance tested negative for FIV, feline leukemia, and ringworm. They're up-to-date on their vaccinations, and up-to-date on their flea and tick preventative. They've been dewormed, spayed (Spooks), neutered (Chance), and microchipped.

Their previous owner wrote this:

"Spooks: She is allergic to the Special Kitty chicken flavor cat food. She does just fine with real chicken. Spooks is an orphan and will kneed and bite on blankets. It's kinda sad but cute. She loves being held while cuddling especially if you hold her front paws (gently of course that way she can leave if she wants to) she also loves being able to burrow under blankets. She is really really good with dogs of all sizes once she's warmed up to them and as long as they're black like her. Spooks will try and groom you if you're wet she does that all the time when we get out of the shower she'll lick us dry. She has a weird foot fetish lol she will sometimes come up to my husband and I and just lick our feet out of no where. She will get into playing with the laser pointer for like 5 minutes and then get lazy and lay down and stretch to try and reach it. She does pretty good with baths if you give her a bath. She was diagnosed with anxiety when we were in Bismark. Her birthday is late January we normally celebrate her birthday on January 29th. She is currently 3 years old (8/31/2023). She's a low energy cat and get very overwhelmed and nervous when there are hyper kids around her.

Chance: Chance loves to lay on me and he likes to be held however he doesn't like being held while cuddling. Chance doesn't like being covered up with blankets at all. Chance will knock over the trash if he can get to it. Chance is okay with at least small dogs that are around the size of him (we have not really had him around big dogs). Chance goes nuts for the laser pointer. Chance does okayish with baths he definitely doesn't like baths but he won't claw you a bunch. Chance hid a bunch when my very hyper active little cousins were around so I wouldn't necessarily he's too good with kids.

Both: We give them canned chicken and canned tuna every once in awhile as a treat. They go nuts for it and have never gotten sick or had any abnormal reactions to it. They go absolutely crazy for cheese as well they love cheese and ranch they steal the ranch off our plates all the time. They always refused to use both litter boxes when we had 2 set up at the same time."

Spooks and Chance's adoption fee is $150.00 and we accept cash or check. (Buy one, get one half off, lol) If you're currently renting, we require a letter from your landlord stating that you may have Spooks and Chance where you live.
