SMARTIES est une chatte tuxedo toute délicate aux beaux yeux verts tristes; avec son adorable nez rose et son petit grain de beauté au dessus de sa lèvre, elle est tout simplement croquante :). En très bonne santé mais de taille plutôt menue, la jolie demoiselle a environ 12 à 15 mois d'âge. La pauvre fillette nous a été confiée au refuge à la fin décembre après avoir été cruellement jetée à la rue en plein hiver, suite à l'hospitalisation de sa propriétaire. Nous voulons maintenant lui trouver un bon foyer pour la vie.

A son arrivée, SMARTIES était visiblement traumatisée; les premières semaines elle était tellement terrorisée qu'elle restait tout le temps cachée. Très progressivement, la petite bonne femme a trouvé le courage de sortir de sa cachette et maintenant elle s'installe confortablement soit sur un coussin moelleux ou dans le caisson d'un arbre à chat. Il reste du travail à faire car la coquette ne se promène que très rarement en notre présence et elle est encore trop timide pour pouvoir la manipuler ou la brosser. Cependant, une fois que SMARTIES vous connaît, vous avez affaire à une minette très tendre qui apprécie les douces caresses et se faire gratter le menton gentiment en lui chuchotant des mots rassurants. De plus, cette princesse poilue ne démontre aucun comportement agressif (ne mord, ne griffe et ne crache pas) - son mécanisme de défense est la fuite et se cacher. Offrez-lui des savoureuses gâteries pour établir le contact et créer un lien de confiance graduellement.

Nous recherchons des adoptants calmes, chaleureux et patients qui ont une bonne expérience avec les chats timides et qui prendront le temps nécessaire pour parfaire sa socialisation en lui donner beaucoup d'amour. SMARTIES serait plus heureuse de cohabiter avec d'autres chats sociables et non-dominants car elle se sent plus en sécurité si elle a des copains félins autour d'elle avec qui interagir et lui tenir compagnie. Nous recommandons un foyer sans chiens et sans enfants car étant de tempérament plutôt nerveux, il faut éviter toute source de stress qui nuirait à son épanouissement et à son bien-être.

SMARTIES n'a pas eu beaucoup de chance en début de vie mais elle mérite de connaître le bonheur pour la suite. Cette merveilleuse minette vous sera des plus reconnaissante de se faire offrir sécurité et affection.

Female, Young, Sterilized, Dewormed, Vaccinated & Microchipped

SMARTIES is a delicate tuxedo cat with lovely green eyes filled with sadness; she's such a cutie pie with her adorable pink nose and little beauty mark above her lip ! This lovely girl is approximately 12 to 15 months old and although she's quite petite, she's in very good health. The poor kitty was rescued and brought to the shelter late December after being cruelly dumped outdoors in the cold when her owner was suddenly hospitalized. We now want to find her a good forever home.

When she arrived, SMARTIES was visibly traumatized; completely terrified, she remained hidden for the first few weeks. Very progressively, this sweet lady found the courage to come out of her hiding place so that now, she enjoys resting and napping comfortably on a soft cushion or in the box of her cat tree. More progress is required as she doesn't move around much when we are present and is still too shy to be held or brushed. However once SMARTIES knows you, this kitty becomes more affectionate as she clearly appreciates gentle caresses and chin scratches while you whisper reassuring words. Moreover, this furry princess doesn't exhibit any agressive behaviors (no biting, scratching or hissing) - her defense mechanism is to run & hide. Offer her savory cat treats to establish contact with her and gradually create a trusting relationship.

We are looking for calm, patient and caring adopters who have solid experience with timid cats and who will give SMARTIES all the time needed to complete her socialization and lavish this little wonder with lots of love. The charming girl would be happiest living with other sociable and non-dominants cats as she feels safer if she has feline friends around her so she can cuddle with them. We recommend a household without dogs or children, as she is skittish and stressful situations need to be limited to a minimum to ensure her happiness & wellbeing.

SMARTIES had a very rough start to life and she deserves to know happiness in the future. This wonderful kitty will be so grateful that you have offered her so love and security.
