Meet Silver

For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org.

We welcomed Silver to STAF after he was rescued from the streets with a severely injured tail. This handsome and very sweet little man was taken immediately to the vet for emergency care but they were not able to save his tail and it had to be amputated. Silver has been shining his light all over the place ever since and appreciates attention from our loving volunteers. Although he has completely healed from his surgery, he is cautious of any touch to his tail area, so he would not be suitable for small children who may not understand his boundaries. If you start a conversation with Silver, he will respond with head butts and returned love on his terms. Once he gets to know you, he knows how to bring fun and sparkle to any environment. Silver is playful, adventurous, and he definitely wants to be the center of attention, but he prefers to be the leader. We feel he would do well in a home with other cats that do not play too hard, older and mature kids who can respect how he likes to be pet, or he would be fine as the only kitty. Silver has been polished up a bit with all the medical care he needed, and now he is ready to be cherished as the treasure he is!
