Meet our beautiful baby, Shorti!

Shorti is another absolutely gorgeous calico of the Wawa bunch. Similar to her sister Sizzli, Shorti has not been able to entirely shake the cautious lessons of her very stressful infancy despite the enormous strides she has made in foster care. Sizzli and Shorti have developed almost opposite styles of coping with their anxieties about people: Sizzli is outgoing and curious but cautious of touch. Shorti is much more reserved and likes to hang back in a quiet cubby. But once there she knows she’s in an established “petting” spot and will accept quiet gentle stroking in her safe spaces. Her favorite perch by far is the top of the cat tree, and usually where she heads to when someone comes into her room to solicit their attention.

Shorti will likely always prefer a quiet low-activity environment where she can continue to gain trust and grow close with a small family or individual she can be comfortable seeking affection and cuddles from. Shorti is very attached to her siblings' companionship and definitely needs to be adopted with either one of them or into a home with another young and friendly animal she can bond with.

Sizzli is spayed, vaccinated, combo-tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. She is ready for her happily ever after!
