Shelly Domestic Short Hair Orleans, VT

Meet Miss Shelly! Shelly is the sweetest, most sensitive soul with the biggest heart. She lived in a quiet home all of her 8 years, so the shelter was a new experience for Shelly. She went from hiding in her litter box with just her eyes peeking over the top... to chirping and seeking attention with the cutest, softest meow you've ever heard. What a cuddle bug she has become! Shelly LOVES to be brushed and will roll around and swim with her paws in blissful acquiescence. Right now Shelly is 14lbs, but we are helping her lose that bit of extra weight, slowly and carefully.

Shelly would do best in a quiet home. Fast movements of small children make her nervous, but calm, older children who will treat her with gentleness and kindness would most likely be welcomed by sweet Shelly. She is afraid of dogs, but has come out of her shell in a room with many other feline friends. Now that she is a bit more brave however, we have seen that she can be a bit of a bully with the other kitties in her room, so we feel she may do best in a home without them.
