Sheba Domestic Short Hair Kankakee, IL

SHEBA is a female Grey tabby. A family had reported seeing a mother cat roaming their yard. She had 3 kittens that the people had seen her with. The cat family had been living in a hollowed out tree. The tree was rotted out, unstable, and the family was in fear that the kittens may fall out. Even though they provided food for the mother cat, they knew it was not a safe place to be. They reached out for help. Traps were set, and we caught the mom, who we named Sheba. Finally spotting a kitten, and they too were rescued. Sheba was given medical treatment, and complete vetting was done. No more tree kittens for Sheba. It was noted at her foster home that she was not mean or unsocial. She was merely a great actress at hissing and spitting .She was, in fact, loving and sweet. She loves to play, be brushed, and very smart. She loves tunnels and string toys. Her kittens were adopted, and Sheba needs a forever home. Sheba is 1 year old. She likes other cats who aren't domineering or aggressive. She is not bothered by dogs. She's mild mannered and prefers to walk away if challenged. She displays lots of sass if scared. Once she knows you are not trying to hurt her, that spice she pretends to have turns into purrs and head bunts. She has had a hard start in life and deserves a loving family of her own.
