Selina Snowshoe & Domestic Short Hair Mix Pittsburgh, PA

Some cats are definite cat cats, and others are people cats.

We would toss Selina right in-between. She will come to a human for pets, but she definitely loves to play with other kitties and gets along with them very well. That being said, we will require she has a built in kitty friend in her new home to ease her into her new life! The more playful, the better!

When this sweet little gal is left to her own devices, she enjoys playing with small balls, mice toys and will toss around any catnip toy! She grabs them by her little paws, throws them in the air, then wrestles them to the floor. But other kitties are always a better time!

We know, we know - she sounds like too much fun!! But our sweet Selina will need a patient family that will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell.

You see, Selina still needs time to fully open up to alllll the good things humans have to offer. But she is gentle, loving and likes being around the people she’s used to. She will hide when she hears loud noises, but that's nothing a Churu treat can't fix! Selina LOVES Churus, wet food and crunchy treats!

While a bit of a shy girl who doesn't much love to be handled to cut her nails, she makes great use of her cat tree and scratching post to keep those babies in check! We believe with time, she will allow for more grooming assistance.

She loves to scale the cat tree and sit on her favorite dresser to window watch, but we're sure she would settle for the top of any tree in her forever home! If you have a bird feeder for her to stare at, she will be glued to it for hours!

Selina LOVEESSSSS to be petted and scratched from her cheeks, to her head and all the way to the tip of her tail! She initiates the love with head butts. But be careful with the belly - it's a trap! A gentle trap. She will just give you delicate bites if you get too cozy in there!

When she's not on her favorite dresser, she is on the couch or her foster momma's bed. She will lie down close next to her and demand head scratches while they both fall asleep.

If she's not snoozing or getting massages, Selina is following her foster siblings around the house wanting to play with them! She’s very vocal when in play mode, and she will call her friends and start the hide and seek game, or initiate the chase!

In closing, Selina is a total sweetheart with a little more work to do. She loves other cats, she loves to play with them, naps with them and watch birds with them. She’s as nice as cat can be - she's never hissed once - and she is extremely loving. She is just timid, and will need a patient adopter who helps her come out of her shell more than she already has.

All of this being said, she will do best in a quieter home. Small children would be detrimental to her, so please do not apply if you have young kids.

Selina is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FELV and microchipped.
