Meet Sam

********Courtesy Listing******** A courtesy listing means Sam is not a Purrfect Friends cat. The founder of Sam has asked for help in finding him a good home to make sure he goes to a responsible pet owner. There is a courtesy application process just like in a Purrfect Friends adoptable cat.

My name is Sam, and I am excited to meet you and your family! I am a dapper, very well-mannered gentleman hoping to find a cozy forever home where I can relax with you and enjoy the good life. I am about 5 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, and have tested negative for feline leukemia, FIV, distemper, and parasites. My foster family gave me Revolution Plus, so I am now free of fleas and ticks, too. I am not declawed, but you would never know it! I am a very gentle, laid-back kitty and only use my claws on the scratching post.

You might be thinking that my coat isn't so remarkable, but nothing could be further from the truth! My fur is as soft as a bunny, and my stripes and spots are really unique once you take a closer look. I have soft green eyes and a fluffy, tan-colored belly that I will roll over so you can pet. My muzzle is pretty nifty, with tan and white along with my stripes. One look and you'll be smitten!

I was abandoned by my family in a neighborhood in New Albany. A nice lady saw me eating crackers out of her bird feeder and knew that I must have been hungry - she was right! I had been on my own for a while and was ready for a good meal and a warm bed. After sharing a few meals on her deck, the nice lady could see that I was not a feral feline. She asked another human for help in making sure I would be ok. This other lady rescues and fosters wayward kitties and knew just what to do!

What good timing! The weather got very cold and I moved into the finished basement. This gave us all a chance to get to know one another better. I got the chance to show off my perfect indoor manners! I am litter trained, sleep in a cat bed, use my food and water dishes like a champ, and get along great with other cats. I don't bother anything on the desk or tables. I do love to talk, and will chat with you when you first come home or when I am asking for food.

My favorite thing is to just hang out with humans. I love to lounge on the floor nearby to watch you work, or snuggle up close and nap while you read or watch TV.

Can I come and hang out with you?

love,
Sam

(Sam is quite the charmer and deserves the best of homes!!! He is a purrfect house guest and happy he is now indoors the rest for the rest of his life. There is an application to be filled out before meeting Sam) Sam deserves the very best of homes and we are excited he is getting a second chance to be loved and cherished.
