Meet Rodney

Rodney is a one year old neutered male, domestic medium hair, orange tabby with white cat.

Rodney hid and was scared during the initial adjustment period, but after that, he blossomed into the most loving, trusting, and affectionate cat! He loves to be near his foster parents, playing, exploring the home, and cuddling. He seems to handle redirection well when necessary, which isn’t often, but he’s still learning for a cat his age. He has good litter box habits too!

Rodney likes to go up high on the cat tree, perch of the windowsills to look out at the world, play with toys, look at TV at times, be a lap kitty, and eat (especially canned food).

Rodney likes to be held and he loves cuddling up with both of his foster parents!

Rodney enjoys playing with a variety of toys, both by himself and with a person helping to facilitate play. Rodney loves pouncing on catnip-filled toys and tossing them around, batting and jumping/leaping up to play with interactive wand toys, batting different types of balls around with his paws, chasing a red laser pointer, and batting a ball around on a circular track.

In general, he appears to be active and healthy for a cat his age. He is now very quiet at night while his foster parents are sleeping.

For the first four days in his foster home, Rodney hid and wouldn’t eat or drink at all. He gradually began to feel more comfortable but was still quite skittish for a couple of days. After that, he became increasingly confident with each passing day.

Rodney dislikes sudden movements or loud noises. At times he likes being brushed, but often soon begins to play with or chew on the brush instead.

Rodney has done well in a relatively quiet foster home where someone is there a good part of the day. He will most likely need a period of adjustment in order to feel safe and secure and know that he can trust other people.

Rodney would prefer a home without children, dogs and other cats.

The adoption fee is $175.00

All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, negative for FIV&felv, and have been treated for parasites.
