Meet Ray
Ray came to our shelter after being rescued from the street by a fellow rescuer. When he first arrived, Ray was flooding his litter box and drinking bowls of water. He had a horrific kidney infection and it took MONTHS to clear up. He was likely suffering for many months!
Ray is now on a prescription kidney diet of almost exclusively canned food. He completed a two month long course of antibiotics and is doing beautifully. Unfortunately we cannot fully undo damage caused by his long, untreated infection, so Ray will require a prescription kidney diet for the rest of his life for best chance of keeping his kidney working to the best of their ability.
Ray is about 7-8 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, feline leukemia negative/FIV POSITIVE, and current on flea/tick preventative.
