Meet PORTOBELLO
DESCRIPTION: DSH - Tortoiseshell Tabby (Torbie)
LOCATION: PETS Shelter (114 W Main Street) - Panora, IA
MY STORY:
One day in early September a pregnant stray showed up at the rodeo grounds and local residents began feeding her. It wasn't long after that she had a litter of 3 kittens that looked like mini versions of her. One of the residents made contact with us and we were able to take mama and her 3 little mini me's and place them in a foster home. They became our little mushroom family!
Mama is Portobello and she did an excellent job raising her babies. She was very loving and was very protective of them. When the babies were small she would growl and get her hackles up whenever she sensed another cat in her foster home was getting too close. Now that they are grown, she is more than happy to let them explore the world (or at least their foster home!). She rubs against walls, cat trees, your legs, and whatever else to get your attention. She is a quiet girl that likes to lounge in bed with all her kittens piled on top of her. She also snores when she sleeps! Portobello sports a snazzy tortoiseshell tabby (making her a torbie) coat with none of the tortitude!
MORE DETAILS:

We ask that interested parties fill out a cat adoption questionnaire only if you are seriously considering adopting this sweet kitty. You can get the application by going to our website at "http://www.panorapets.com/adopt"
and clicking on the "Cat Adoption Questionnaire" button at the top of the page. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, an adoption coordinator will contact you usually within 24 hours. Please be patient and thank you for your interest in this kitty.
P.E.T.S. supports the "Paws Need Claws" Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
