Persephone is a goddess for sure! Or a goddess in training! She is a stunning calico with gray substituted for the usual black. Her amber eyes are enchanting. Our girl is a lively, spunky character who loves engaging with people but says “no” to being held or smothered. She has a mind of her own and is looking for someone happy to cater to her wishes. Persephone is clever and inquisitive—she had to be the first of her litter to explore new things. So this girl will keep you on your toes! She is energetic and loves to play, but as she occasionally nibbles when excited she may not be the best fit with small kids. Our girl takes a minute to adjust to new cats although she gets used to them; she is most enthusiastic about human friends.

Persephone was one of four little goddesses born in a foster home to a lovely calico named Aida. Aida was expecting when rescued from outdoors by dedicated STAF volunteers. Persephone is a happy, well adjusted and engaging kitten who would love to meet you!

All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision.
