Meet Paris
Paris arrived with PRAA . She did have a successful surgery where the arch was removed from around her esophagus and her overall health improved significantly almost as soon as she woke up from surgery. We did however notice that she still had some issues when offered free range dry food where she will throw up and seem to have difficulty swallowing. A follow up xray showed that everything looks healthy, she may just have minor lasting effects from the PRAA. Due to this, she will need to maintain a can food only diet which is not hard by any means because she loves her can food. We have been able to give her very small amounts of hard treats and/or pieces of dry food and she is able to keep them down as long as it is a very small helping. Other then the can food diet, there is no noted lasting health issues at this time.
