Onyx Domestic Short Hair & Bombay Mix East Lansing, MI

9 month old Onyx and his siblings were found outside but friendly as can be, although at first Onyx seemed to be the most shy of the bunch....that changed pretty quickly!!!! He takes a little longer to warm up and definitely would benefit from another cat/dog in the home! He loves his fosters puppy!!! He opened up within a couple days and loves people and pets.

He and his foster friend Cami would love a home together if you have the room! ??

He is good with kids, cats, and dogs in his foster home after a slow adjustment period with other pets (always recommended!!)

He is fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea free+treated!

Onyx does have one small thing just to be aware of, and it's something almost every cat has actually - he just is effected by it a little more. He gets a watery eye or clear sneezing time to time, especially if things have been a little more stressful or the weather has been changing a lot etc. kind of like humans! But for cats this is called Feline HerpesVirus. It's not FeLV or FIV which you more commonly hear of. While herpes in cats is contagious , it is not at all deadly or anything like that in and of itself!! And almost all cats out there are carriers of it, just only some show symptoms time to time. What it means is he has flair ups time to time of allergy like symptoms. What it means for you is getting him to the vet if the symptoms turn into a cold, which has only happened once with us when we first got him. Your vet also may have other suggestions long term to help like supplements! Generally though the symptoms tend to calm down once a kitty is in a long term forever home.
